Families are at the heart of society, and a community is only as strong as the families within it.

Whatever shape your family takes, and there are many, people in Clayton are working to help your family.

Whether it's fun days and activities for all ages, parenting and marriage courses, or support for older members of the community, there are many people working hard to ensure that there is the support and help your family needs.

The ParenTalk Course
St John’s Church regularly runs ParenTalk, a relaxed, 6 session parenting principles course to help you be an even better parent. The sessions cover:
Foundations – Be yourself; Love them
Communication – How to listen and talk
   Challenges – Boundaries and Battles
Letting go – Elastic Parenting; Big issues (eg peer pressure and drugs)
Moving Forward – Leaving the past; Enjoying the future

Some comments from previous Clayton participants:
“a great group to be part of”,
“ warm & welcoming homely feel”,
      “I’ve really enjoyed this course”,
      “ I have learnt a great deal”,
“enjoyed meeting new people and sharing experiences”

If you would like to help, or join in a group please contact the course leader Lynne Dunnett
